DoGS Alumni Society
October 7, 2008
Dear UO DoGS Alumni,
We’re pleased to announce the creation of the University of Oregon Department of Geological Sciences (UO DoGS) Alumni Society. Our aim is to bring together former students for fun and networking at annual reunions, and to benefit current students in the UO DoGS by funding (through alumni contributions) and awarding an annual scholarship in support of student research efforts.
If you choose to participate, you’ll hear from us just a few times a year, with announcements of the annual UO DoGS Alumni reunion event at the Fall AGU meeting in San Francisco, information on how to contribute to the new UO DoGS Alumni Scholarship (to be given out at the department’s annual Spring Picnic), and any other announcements that Society members would like to pass along to you.
Our first reunion event will be happening this December at the Fall AGU meeting in San Francisco – details will be given in late November. We hope to see you all there!
To receive future announcements of UO DoGS Alumni Society events, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and let us know of your interest.
